I have owned Mac for over 30 years and consider it one of my wisest purchases. Last year I bought another larger Mac amp from Audio Classics and am very pleased with it. Others have come and gone but I still have McIntosh. I enjoy the sound.
used equipment brick and mortars?
Hi all,
My name is Matt and I'm a beginning av enthusiast in Eastpointe,(metro Detroit). My humble home theater system is improving slowly, and next purchase planned is a Mcintosh processor. But due to the cost of a new piece I'm thinking of going with a used one. I've seen many good deals here and elsewhere on the net, but I can't seem to locate a store in MI where I can go and actually see what I'm getting, so if any of you know of such a business please respond. Also, anybody with any experience with Mac, good or bad, please include opinions or possible alternatives to it. I have a Paradigm Monitor 5.1 setup that I will hopefully be improving on also, but my reciever and source are throwaways so thats where I'm starting. 50/50 music and movies, in a 12 x 20 room. I'm so glad to have found this site and forum since I dont know anyone with anything better than HTIB, and no interest in the higher end gear. Thanks guys.
