Use of Component Video Cables as IC's or Digital Cable

Wondering how suitable my old, high quality,  component RCA video cables are for 2 channel RCA interconnects or as as digital coax. Would be in a secondary system. I will try, but system not set up yet, and curious about compatibility Thanks.

Everything I’ve seen says they should be fine for analog interconnects … they are designed to be high bandwidth and 75 ohm … maybe even better than ‘audio’ interconnects.
Not so sure about using as digital interconnect. Interested in others’ comments.
I have a few sets of these laying around from earlier (pre-hdmi) video days. Will use them on some vintage stacks when I run out of my regular interconnects.
