Upgrading an old digital audio system to bluetooth wireless?

I'm trying to upgrade an older audio theater system with Bluetooth, so I can play music from my phone. Anybody have any experience with upgrading an older systems as such?

I'm stuck trying to decide between these two brands. One is Bose and the other is from another good Amazon brand that's a bit more affordable, although the product is new on the market.

I'm also looking for a Bluetooth receiver so I can connect my iPods and friend's phones to my 2-channel system and listen to portable playlists. I was all set to order the AudioEngine B1, but found the NuForce BTR100 for just over 1/3 the price of the AudioEngine. Both support aptX codec and AAC for improved fidelity over standard Bluetooth. Both get very good reviews.

You can buy a Bluetooth receiver for as little as about $20 on Amazon. However I'm going to forego the cheap route and go with a mid-priced model that has the upgraded codec and hopefully better build quality.
