Upgrade from B&W 803D to 800D2 worth it?

I currently have B&W 803 Ds that I have modified with Mundorf cap upgrades (tweeter and mid-range coupling caps) to silver gold oil and am pretty happy with the sound. I am also using an HSU sub to augment low frequency bass. I have always been curious about the 800 Ds and how they would sound in comparison, but there is no audio outlet that has 800Ds near me. Due the pricing of the 800Ds (around $15K used) this is kind of a big gamble just to buy a pair and try them. Any input from those who have both or heard both? I am wondering about the mid-range imaging and clarity in particular.
