Up-convert via BDP or Projector

Probably not the best place to ask this question, but, I like using Audiogon.

I have an Oppo UHD205 player connected to a Sony VPL-VW665ES 4K projector. In your experience is it best to have the player or projector handle up- conversion of Blu-Ray disc to 4K?
