Unplug the cable DAC to tube board on Shanling??

I just read here that in order to improve the sound of a Shanling SCD-200 one has to umplug the cable que connects the Dac to the tube board. It this a tweek? Can it really improve the sound? How? Whata happens when one does this tweek?
