Tuneblocks S, under speaker spikes?

After researching spiking speakers, it appears that there is a majority who believe that if your speakers are on a suspended wood floor (as mine are) that better results are obtained via decoupling the speakers from the floor, rather than spiking them to the suspended floor.
1) Have any of you used Boston Audio Tuneblocks S under your spikes, and if so what do you think about this solution?
2) Do you have any other decoupling solution to suggest?
