truth about subs?

after reading stereo mags, off and on for some 35yrs, i finally read the best explination about speaker design ever. in tas issue 189, a question from Allen Edelstein and the 3 parragraph answer. it was the reply by Alan Taffel that made the bulb go off in my head. how simple understanding design realy is? thoughts?

So far it sounds pretty simple and self explanatory to me. I completly agree. Could not of have said it better myself.
What was the question again? No soap, radio?
