Threshold SA/3

ive inherited a Threshold SA/3 amplifier.
im not very familiar with audio equipment. First if it’s an amp it will need a pre amplifier. What pre-amp is recommended. To add to confusion I only see speaker connection yet I see it listed as a preamplifier but how do you connect your turntable tape deck ect behind with so little output/input. I believe it’s a 50 watts per channel amplifier therefore I must get a pre-amp. I have a Pioneer spec 1....are they compatible? Thank you helping out I hope I LL have more interesting and intelligent questions in the future...hey you got to start somewhere when you don’t know much. Thank you in advance
