this ever happen to your audio alchemy pro 32 ??

like a good audiophile i was playing a disc to burn in the unit as i slept. but this time when i woke i noticed mt dac was in the intializing instead of operational mode.

and as of now with the AA in the system the dac still won't work. let the music through aka it wont operate.

i check with something else laying around yep the problem is the AA the dac is fine.

the problem seems to be the output of the AA . i'm getting the proper lights letting me know the AA to transport connection seems fine. it's the AA's output that's....

is this fatal ?? should i give it up ?? and hmm what happened ??? arrgh....

only had a couple of months via the used bins. sigh...

Are you using the I2S input on the DTI Pro 32? Let me know what transport you are using.

I have two Pro 32's working in my systems (most of the times...)
parasound c/bd 2000 transport and a 80 year old wadia 1000 dac. i reinserted the wadia digilink to convert coaxial to glass fiber and the music returned. so it's the pro 32 causing the problem....

my wadia 1000 only has glass fiber connections. thanks for the reply :) i used the bnc inputs on the pro 32...
One last step you should take before declaring Pro 32 Dead, is to power down all of your digital front end gear (unplug it from the wall). In cases where folks used Audio Alchemy DDS Pro transport and connected via I2S bus cable, Pro 32 received +5V through the bus even when the transport was turned off from the front panel. It was sure to lock up the Pro 32...

Then power up Pro 32 first, then the transport, and the DAC last.

Let me know what you find. Since you are not using the I2S bus, my guess is that you will not have a good outcome but ...
hmm no it was for the worse. still not working. but thanks for the advice/convern. :)
