I am as you are yourself not perfect but i do not confuse order with invitation... I am abrasive sometimes but there is generally a reason... And if there is no reason sometimes i am abrasive with arguments , not with insults, and only sarcasms or orders and commands, this is my form of kindness speaking to the working mind of my friend ... And i treat everyone on the same level then able to understand rational of arguments... And i dont entertain grudges by the way ...😊This is my kindness... I will never be concise because many things cannot be explained or described in few sentences as music mysteries or acoustics concepts etc or philosophical ideas ...( i am retired and miss my younger friends ) And i am not english born speakers i lack the art of ellipse and innuendos ... Think about the way your "friend above was "kind" toward me ...😁 I discuss with you here just now , did i use order, insults, innuendos ?. No ...Only rational sentences... My best to you ... 😊 |

Do you understand the difference between an imperative and a polite invitation or suggestion? Especially after a meaningful post of mine explaining why i dont share Amir ideology even if i like his work ? «Imperative verbs work by issuing a command to the person being addressed. » Now is this man of "few words" know the difference between an order given to a poster he never discussed with and a polite and friendly suggestion ?
The question here is about not the number of words but about their meanings and context and about politeness and civility...We share ideas as humans we do not impose orders as a gang of apes... My post suggested a relatively short thoughtful reflection , his post is an emotional uncontrolled reaction bordering on insult the way it is given ...😊 Your interpretation then reflect your own emotional reaction not the discussion context at all.. You dont like reading a poster skip him ... We are not all on the same levels about everything here ... Then respect is recommended even for man of "few words" ... Sorry i am not a man of "few words" ... 😊😁 i treat everyone as friends here ... I am made this way but i answer to those who attack me politely but with arguments ...

People like scapegoating and they like to hate... I remember the days where someone here was very much hated... I dont mind if the reason to hate were good or bad... I dont hate anybody , but i reacted to posts for sure ... 😁 I understand the two sides here and i sympathize with the two sides... All is rarely black or white about anybody nor about any matter ... I will return back your question to yourself ? why do you need sarcasm instead of argument in an audio platform especially against someone as rational as atmasphere ? For my mental health personal report , it is not for you here to have an answer... This thread is about a precise matter which you can adress as i did myself and atmasphere with "arguments" and reason ...Not with insult, innuendos, sarcasms only and mainly ... Anybody using arguments and reason here is welcome... Even me... 😁 By the way i never "impose" my opinion as you just did with your personal adress to atmasphere, me i always gave plenty of arguments and anybody can reply with arguments ... Nobody can give an argument as answer to sarcasm, as your useless pointing to atmasphere "ego" was... is it clearer ? I am not a perfect human being too because i answered you ... 😊

A review of a product, for example speakers, based on specs measures or in subjective impressions in a room , or the two together is always a debatable matter, because there is always many parameters, many different needs at play, the only exception is if the speakers are very bad design to begin with ...( but very bad speakers design do not go very far in sales) then for me any reviews result as any design from a set of trade -off choices, in the designer intention as well as in the reviewers needs and wishes... Where are the dots ? If you look at one side they are there, if you look at the other side they are there... there is no absolute truth in design no more than in reviewing... Designer must not use threat of legal pursuit and reviewers must be cautious in their choice of words for sure ...

I dont remember atmasphere "ego" very much all around the place since the 8 years i came here..😊 He always spoke the best he can to help everyone here with acoustics and engineering information ... Smartest-guy-in-the-room is it not me ? 😁 If it is not me, it is certainly not you either, you (we) have too much "ego" anyway, then stay calm instead of attacking someone who just gave in a rational way his own well motivated , if debatable, opinion among a raging crowd...... ( i was raging myself against threat to a reviewer for sure).. 😊 |
I agree completely with this attitude in life for sure... Truth is over anything else... 😊 But once this is said an audio product review imply as a medical reporting truth a fine line about what must be said with the right choice of word... We can say our truth without making it a negative destruction of the product...

I myself most of the times lend way much more credibility reading a reviewer about his "reserves" and "between the line implication" than about a flat negative remarks... And we have users reviews which are not constrainted by any ethical professional guideline anyway ... I used statistical users analysis myself ... There is difference between flat negative observation and cautious choice of words... There is a reviewer ethical line, implicit or explicit ... Then atmasphere post make sense to me ... We have way more users opinions than reviewers opinion to compare to anyway...

I concur with atmasphere here ... This does not means that negative impressions must not be written in the diplomatic form of reservation or very cautious wordings .. Being ethical is a fine line ... Staying objective too ...

Your post reveal you did not listen the video and your post is hearsay or uninformed opinions about this video ... The dude in the video is rational and spoke of the situation in general in a legalistic perspective and his consequences.. And i think the same as him, ... 😊

I dont mind that it was somebody in his garage or a pro; i dont give a damn.😊 It is ludicrous to ban reviewers by legal pursuit threats...Period... I estimate freedom of speech more important than what is borderline between opinion and defamation especially if the reviewers can prove that his opinion is motivated and grounded in his experience and is not pure defamation as it seems the case here... My sympathy here goes with the reviewers not with any designers... Suppose the reverse, what will become of audio reviews ? 😊 A good product cannot be impeded by few bad reviews, a good product will survive with many users and reviewers good reviews anyway ...

It appear to me ludicrous to settle audiophile reviews in courtroom...😊 But the fact that we are or not a "man" or a "woman" may or must now be settled in courtroom with the irrational delirium instilled in the social fabric... Even privacy dont exist anymore in a world where our own body property can be settled also in court ... And tomorrow there will be those who want A.I. as God and the others who prefer a natural tree and no body modifications. The next war will be religious between artificial life and natural life... Then.... May God help us...😊
