Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

I have owned 2.4s and currently have a pair of 3.7s.  To me they sound best with a high quality tube preamp and a SS power amp. They really need 250+ watts and you need an amp that is stable down in the 2 to 3 ohm range.

Bog Thiel fan. Have had 2.3s and 2.4s.  Currently have 3.7s with 2 Rel s/5 SHO subs.  Have listened to lots of speakers in an attempt to upgrade but the only speakers I have heard so far that I liked better were some Wilson Sashas.  I didn't feel it was worth dropping $50k for a marginal improvement.

Had a pair of 2.4s.  Really liked them but then moved up to 3.7s.  Liked them even more.  Still have them.  Listened to other brands including Magico and Wilson and in my price range (under 40K) I have not found anything that makes me want to give up my 3.7s.  I found that for my flooring (carpet over 1" subflooring on 2x12 joists) spikes were a better way to go than the Gaia.  The spikes focused the imaging better in my set up.  Also have a pair of REL S/5 SHO subs.  They are a great addition to the 3.7s.
