Thiel CS3 vs CS3.5 bass equalizer

Hi -

I just acquired a pair of CS3’s , but no EQ. In my searches, I see CS3 and CS3.5 Bass Equalizers. Is a CS3.5 Okay to use on the 3’s?

Another stupid question, I do not seem to see tape in / out jacks on my AV receiver, which I have the front out jacks connected to my Conrad Johnson amp. How do I hook up the EQ?
