Yes, both outputs are active. I once did this using the balanced outputs to a pair of mono-block amplifiers and the RCA outputs to a subwoofer.

I was interested in biamping my speakers, can the I use both Balanced and Unbalanced outputs at the same time. Sorry, I don't have the manual.
