It's a bit of a bummer.  I purchased a pair just about 3 years ago & absolutely love them.  Zu Audio seems to be re-working its offerings as the two bookshelf  models are no longer advertised on its web-site.
For a grand, the DWers were an eye opener and a reminder of the what's & why's of listening to music that started for me many decades ago. Â
Zu has said that it will come out with an entry level offering that will come in under $2K.
