The Social Network

I went to see The Social Network last night, David Fincher's latest flick about the creators of Facebook. I had previously read press on how Trent Reznor would be creating the original score, I suddenly realized this upon the first score. It's now some 20hrs later and the score is still in my head. It was just perfect, I don't know why or how but it just is so perfect for this movie.

For those who have seen this movie I'd love to hear comments. It's like no other score I've heard very Trent Reznor but it works on so many different levels. Isolation, electronic-sounding, a journey. I'm not sure the movie will be nominated for Best Picture (it's good not great) but I think the sound track will be, and will likely win.

There was also a free "sampler" of some tracks that Reznor put up a few weeks ago on his website. I'm not sure if it's still available, but I downloaded them and listened a few times. Interesting stuff, I just loaded them into a playlist to give it another spin, or should a say "stream". Good stuff!
FYI:

I just pre-ordered the CD and with the purchase I received a free instant download of the entire album on 320K MP3 and my choice of FLAC or Apple Lossless.

I'd bet my next three pay checks it's nominated for Best Picture.
The movie kept my attention start to finish and some of the credit goes to Reznor's score. I saw the movie with my daughter who is one year younger than Mr. Zuckerberg. She remembers when the "the" was removed from her Facebook page.
