Music absolutely heals ! My mother created and ran a musical therapy department at a hospital for years until she retired. Her pursuit to help people started by simply providing audio and video tapes with players to patients. Then on to  “ Clown School “ and a friendship with Patch Adams. And finally hands on musical therapy for mostly cardiac patients. This was facilitated by the Yamaha Corporation and our local dealer providing her with a number of electric pianos that were tethered together with her at the helm. Today at 86 she entertains and has sing alongs with the residents in her senior living facility. I’ve personally experienced the healing power of live music, recorded music and playing instruments. I’m currently undergoing nuerofeedback and while not musical, the positive effect is amazing. One of my favorite musical moments was hearing R. Carlos Nakai at a small venue performance. Music is Life, Life is Music. Cheers, Mike B
