The best speaker you ever heard?

In my opinion, the speaker is by far the most important part of the audio system. After all, it is the only part you hear. OK, the other stuff really matters a lot, but without a great speaker... No go.

I am a bit 'speaker-obsessed' I guess, and now I am wondering: What are the best speakers you have ever heard, and what made them the best?

Green Mountain Audio flat out makes everything else I have heard sound bad. I've heard a lot too. I was in the retail high end audio business for 8 years. I'm also a musician. Nothing speaks to me musically like Green Mountain Audio.

Gotta agree with the GMA response. Spent a decade selling high-end audio and a lifetime as a musician and have heard nothing as real sounding as these speakers.
