Teres VTA Adapter on VPI JMW9 arm

I was reading about the Teres VTA Adapter on the Teres website, and was intrigued because my main complaint with the VPI JMW9 on my Scoutmaster is the lack of a convenient and repeatable way of making fine adjustments to VTA. Has anyone installed the Teres VTA Adapter on a VPI JMW9 tonearm? If so, what is your experience? Did it require re-drilling the mounting hole on the turntable?
