Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

Recently sold my LM508IA but it's a great sounding unit and a simple tube swop will take it to a higher level of refinement and sound quality.

- Psvane 805 is an upgrade but TJ Full Music are superior
- Emission Labs 300b very dynamic and reliable
- Sophia Mesh Plates 300b very organic sounding with texture
- Best 6SN7 in this circuit Sylvania WGTA Brown Base
- Tung-Sol 6SL7

Since your speakers are so revealing, the Sophia may be the tube to go with and also look into some GIK Acoustic treatment to go behind your speakers and treatment centered between your speakers; Big difference in sound-staging, imaging, bass...

- 10A SR Black or now SR Blue Fuses- Night and Day difference from stock fuse.

Thick curtains on those reflective sliding doors while listening will reduce early reflections and give better imaging; taming those will open up a new level of transparency.

The LM will get better within the first 2 months and will become even quieter as those massive transformers run-in.

Don Sach's Customized 6SN7 Tube Pre-Amp and his Kootenay 120 Customized KT88 Tube Amp; fully regulated power supply and independent for each channel.

I was using Stillpoints Ultra SS under my Crescendo's with good results but they leaned out the mid-range too much and since then I've found the Audio Points to be "Outstanding" and is what I'm using with very good results...

Congrats on your new Integrated Amp! Once you hear the right combo, it's hard going back.
