Tekton Double Impacts

Anybody out there heard these??

I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft.  Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs.  For the vast majority of music I love this system.  The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so.  For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer.  Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's.  Really don't want to deal with that approach.

Enter the Double Impacts.  Many interesting things here.  Would certainly have a different set of strengths here.  Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.

I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that.  Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers

Thanks.

@kerbouchard84
Hey do you mind posting  your thoughts  of your visit to me and waltersalis and the other guy that had some Tektons
@walersals
Dammit , Walter ! Are you getting the Encores ?
I am jealous, for sure !
@waltersalas
Well,  I would like to come and hear them one day when you get all setup, if you would allow me .The one thing that Lyngdorf RoomPerfect does Extremely well , is the Bass and the time Domain.
I am much closer to you than Dan.
@d2girls
I played Pandora Plus through my Roku Ultimate (HDMI Out)into OPPO-UDP-203 (it has an HDMI 4K capable input) .I am using HDMI Audio only out of the OPPO-203 into Mx150 (Oppo 203 has an HDMI Audio Only output)
I mention this because it is Really good sound this way.
I chose Thumbprint radio station.In doing so hear are some of the artists heard :
Organically Good Trio
Delvon Lamarr
The Bamboos
The Meters
Stanton Moore Trio
Dirk Quinn
Chicken Shack
The Budos Band
The Greyboy Allstars
Ripple Groove
Melvin Taylor
Ju Ju
Marcus Miller
This is why i like Pandora Plus.
I get similar Artists to the one in my search.
I am always finding Great new Artists this way.
I had never heard of half of those groups
They are not necessarily new , but they are new to me . The sound is so good through the Roku and Oppo-UDP-203 , that it amazes me.
Oh BTW .For those who do not know ,Thumbprint Radio (station on Pandora) plays anything that you have given a thumbs up to and some new similar artists mixed in .
@waltersalas
How do you like the Steely  Dan and other stuff that i asked Dan to share with  you ?
I am using Sistrum apprentice platforms on the Double Impacts.
They bring everything more into focus, less smearing , less congestion so to speak.Everything is cleaner & clearer and Bass is better focused, more real and right sounding

@mlapenta
Down to 20Khz ..?
Surely you mean down to 20hz
khz means 1000 hertz.
The k is 1000
Double Impact is down to 20hz
Electron SE is down to 30hz
jsautter,
You definitely need to hear them. If anyone wants to I am actually considering selling mine. I have the Double Impacts in Ferrari Red (with the $300 dollar upgrade Pckg) Ialso have the large Center channel four of the 6 inch drivers (same ones in the Double Impacts) in the same color .They all have Grills. If anyone is coming through this way and is interested in auditioning them LMK.
I have pics in my profile. I am in Knoxville TN. The amps in the pics are not the Granite Audio. See the listing for those pics. I never updated the pics from the MC30s
I am not selling because i do not like them . It is because of Financial reasons. I also have the McIntosh MX151 and the fantastic Granite Audio 864SR Monoblock tube amps. I have many,many extra tubes that will go with the sale of the amps The amps are listed here on Audiogon as well as Usaudiomart. I only have the amps listed for now , because i thought that they would be the easiest to sell .. Not sure though.
I will consider selling any or all.
You must hear these speakers and this setup. I was going to keep for a very long time , but I may not be able to Financially.
If you or anyone has interest in hearing or seeing any of it LMK
send me a PM
With my Tekton DI, I have used the McIntosh MC30s ,that had been completely re-done by Yves Beauvais, with Excellent results. Unfortunately had to sell them ... for financial reasons They could push them pretty hard ,even on techno or heavy Bass stuff. I also used the Rogue Audio St-100 tube Amp.It was still very good , but, I liked the Mc30s a little better . The rogue St-100 could have a little too much upper Mid-range presence , at times, but it could drive them much harder without clipping.
Well, I thought we had measurements for DOUBLE IMPACTS , not Impact Monitors.
Does anyone know if the Double Impact speakers have been measured , or published anywhere ?
DIs pair well with McIntosh, which is said to have a laid back presentation.
I have MX151 Pre/Pro with Roomperfect ,and it does just that .... makes the room perfect . Amp is the Belles 150A Reference V2. I am using Sonoran Desert Plateau speaker cables and Bill Dion's (grannyring) Dueland wire interconnects with my DI . not at all in your face ,or harsh ,or shouty. smooth AND Detailed with good bass.
My room is about 10x12 and open on one side ,see pics in my system pics

I actually have a pair(Double Impact) & wide  center (Double Impact center)  for sale here  on Audiogon
