Technics SL-1800 mk2

There is one local for sale, looks to be in decent shape. Any of you Technics gurus care to share your knowledge? From what I gather it was just below the 1200 in the line-up.

Seems like pretty much the same specs as the 1200 but obviously not the same machine. The 1800mk2 is $500 on CL. Original MSRP of $300. LOL
