Beautiful reel. I use to have a 1506. The only thing I can offer you is to check out Tapeheads.net forum. If anyone were to know something, it would be them.
Technics 1500 US needs repair
I have a Technics 1500 US, It has an intermittent problem with the right take up motor, using 10.5” reels on rewind or reverse I sometimes get a grinding sound, when I hit stop and start again the sound stops. I want to take it to a nearby shop but do not know who to take it to. I know a few near where I live but do not know how good they are and none of my friends know. I live in Santa Clarita California, near the San Fernando valley, if anyone had experience with any shop in my area can you please let me know.
