CMK 3. Maybe the 3.2 depending on which year it is. This is the better Mechanism with the lead clamp. Much better than the CMK 4 used on the VRDS T1 transports which have a plastic/resin clamp. It is very reliable. Teac has the parts for it. It uses a Sony laser mech. modified by teac As far as I know.
TEAC/Esoteric P700 Mechanism
Can anyone tells me which CMK is this transport is using and how reliable it is? I'm planning to get one from the used market and I think chances of gettin one more than 5 yr is high. So got to make sure parts are available and the TEAC customer service guys are helpful. Thanks for reading guys.
