So the position of the tonearm relative to the platter, causes the sound to cancel out completely? If so look where the TINY wires have chafed inside and or against the tonearm stand (knife edge) tunnel. A simple check. Make sure the cart wires ends are tight.  All quick and easy to check..

Danke für Deine Nachricht und dass Du mir helfen willst! Die Kabel am Tonarm hatte ich allerdings auch schon kontrolliert und was ich noch sagen möchte, ist,dass die Musik nicht komplett aus ist an der linken Box, sondern nur sehr leise. LG

I have exactly the same problem:

- low level on left channel

and huge hum on that channel if ground wite is not connected.
