T+A MP 200 with T+A Dac 200 Synergy

Hi All -

I'm looking to make a change in my office system. I'm thinking of selling my Gold Note DS-10 with the supplementary power supply unit. It's a Streamer/DAC/Preamp all-in-one unit.

I'd like to replace it with no more than two devices that combine streaming, digital-to-analog conversion, with preamp functionality. The combo that I've started looking at is the T+A Dac 200 along with the T+A MP 200. I've read these units have great synergy when used together.

Question for the group:

Does the T+A Dac 200 perform at a higher leverl when partnered with the T+A MP player? Or does the T+A Dac perform just as well with another streamer?

How well does the T+A MP 200 perform versus other streamers such a Innuos?

I have an Innuos ZENith MKiii in my living room that sounds great and been seamless in operation.

I'd also welcome any general feedback on the either device AND/OR suggestions on other devices that folks recommend that combine these functions. I'd like to purchase used and budget is roughly $8K.

For context, I mostly listen to streaming radio during the day while I work and/or classical or jazz from Qubuz as I write and prepare for meetings. I switch between an Audio Hungary P200 amp and a Luxman 590axii integrated. Speakers are Buchardt s400 mkii.

Thanks in advance!

I did think the two T+A components were much better together than separately.

i ended up not keeping them because there seemed to be be a high frequency harshness I couldn’t get rid of by changing cables.

I ended up going further up scale and bought a Grimm Mu1 and a Chord Dave which are fantastic.

In fairness, I now think the harshness I was hearing was due to my old power conditioner which I now know wasn’t doing much.
