SYZYGY SLF 870

When I attempt to pair my phone (Android) with the Syzygy app, I am asked for a password. I have read right through the setup guide & checked the packaging; no joy. The pop-up into which the password is to be entered suggests 0000 or 1234, neither of which work.
Any help should be as to an elementary school recipient, but will be greatly appreciated.
