The Resolution Reference .5 with active shielding lacked the bass punch that the Resolution Reference with active shielding had.The Resolution Reference has more detail and in general is a better cable than the RR .5.

anyone have any experience and know the differences, sonically, between these
1)resolution reference .5 (with active shield and without)
2)resolution reference (with active shield and without)
3)designers reference (with active shield and without)
im trying to decide where i would get the most bang for the buck. for instance is there a notable difference between the res. ref. .5 with active shield and say the designers ref. without active shield. thanks
