Synergistic Red Fuse ...

I installed a SR RED Quantum fuse in my ARC REF-3 preamp a few days ago, replacing an older high end fuse. Uhh ... for a hundred bucks, this little baby is well worth the cost. There was an immediate improvement upon installation, but now that its broken in (yes, no kidding), its quite remarkable. A tightening of the focus, a more solid image, and most important of all for my tastes, a deeper appreciation for the organic sound of the instruments. Damn! ... cellos sound great! Much improved attack on pianos. More humanistic on vocals. Bowed bass goes down forever. Next move? .... I'm doing the entire system with these fuses. One at a time though just to gauge the improvement in each piece of equipment. The REF-75se comes next. I'll report the results as the progression takes place. Stay tuned ...

Any comments from anyone else who has tried these fuses?

LOL, twice as hard! There you have it, so called quantum science exist, for everything but audio!

I would recommend to the scoffers, naysayers, skeptics, and EE's to
watch either nova or History channel on quantum physics, pretty mind boggling, violates all standards of known physics, not my opinion.
Pretty big pill to swallow, new horizons are upon us! Solid state electricity, any EE will tell you its impossible, yet its already being done,
glass batteries, gene splicing, AI, accessing other dimensions, all happening right now in science labs around the world.

I tried one when they first came out, I think it was 3 years ago, with in a couple of months, I went to 15 of them. There is a old thread about these
which I found helpful. Consensus was the best placement was across terminals in the back of gear. I found that to be the case as well. I also have the room neutralizers as well, and they are a even bigger effect.
tommylion  Yes the older version, maybe the new one is different, sticky tape, and a fourth letter to the name IMO that's the upgrade. The reason I say that is the active ingredient is carbon 13, and from what I have read from others experimenting with it is the right amount is critical. The older version works well in gear as well. Regardless its a great product, I am sure anyone who tries one will end up with at least a few more. Happy your enjoying it!
theaudiotweak, Hey Tom in response to your second to last post, very soon something is coming out for you to try on those nickle plated ends!
I am pretty sure anyone who uses it is going to be really shocked at what it does. For the sake of pure transparency, I know this because it is going to come out of my workshop. Please be a little more patient I promise it will be worth the wait. I honestly thought it would be out by now, but everything has to be perfect or a no go. Product is set, just a few more loose ends to deal with.

A non secret, 25 years ago a friend took me to Boston to meet a eccentric
fellow by the name of Clark Johnson it made a impression that has stayed with me ever since. He sold us a big bucket of this really thick paint, called Acoust-X, I have zero affiliation with the company. It is very very cheap in comparison to its performance, I think its around $40 a gallon. It is water based, does not contain lamb fuzz or recycled sponges.
It does however contain ceramic micro spheres, cant see them so I am sure some will call it voodoo, Tell you what inside speaker cabinets, and
speaker driver frames or baskets it will take your breath away. Anyone who owns a vibraplane look underneath and see what it is coated with.
I know Totem was using it 25 years ago. Bought new subs couple years back 1st order was take them apart.

The stuff is so good I have already discussed with the wife, painting the whole sound room with it, and then reapplying the brilliant color we have now. Giant project, but well worth the effort I am sure.

AVM love that stuff as well 2005 was my intro to it, knee jerk reaction was, I am not painting that on my electronics period, was coaxed into tying it on fuses first, was so taken back with its performance, dove right in. Not cheap $2000 a liter, but nothing compares. Anything since is chasing his ground breaking work. 90% of what he produces is already  sold
to medical equipment manufactures. That should quiet the naysayers.
I do personally know the owner became good friends over the years.
