Ozzy, have you tried a dual Galileo mpc on your Powercell 10SE with the 32 Amp Precision AC. I have 2 dual Galileos and concerned with the effects. Should they be safe to try???

Just an update on my recent Powercell 10SE purchase. It has settled in my system for about a month and just configured my subwoofer cord into the powercell yesterday. Several forums back nobody(that I noticed) replied to subwoofer/Powercell experimental conclusions. Even though it is just the factory SVS PB13Ultra cord and not a S.R Tesla T3, I will add the bass had tremendous volume, was extremely controlled, accurately fast and well defined at loud volumes.
I am really "wowed" at the difference plugging it into the Powercell10SE. I can just imagine what it will sound like in a few weeks and with a S.R Tesla T3 power cord.......
Ps. Just to refresh, I do have a Holgram A to power amp, T3 to pre, factory 58" plasma tv cord, T2 to Blu Ray, 2 double Galileo mpc's, + sub cord all plugged into the cell....

I am looking to find Acrylic shelving for my equipment. I have a full S.R Tesla system with a Powercell 10SE and was suggested to me to get Acrylic for a shelf material as it will have the best results with the S.R active sheilding technology. I am also looking to purchase several sets of miggs to capitalize on the component tuning process which will be optimal with acrylic. I live in Canada so hopefully a close dealer would be preferred. Thx all for the suggestions, I do like the analogue 5.1 from my Oppo SE so I will try slowly upgrading my old monster rca's to Alpha Sterlings X2 used or even Tesla Accelerator used. That would mean I will need more outlets for the MPC's so I will add a QLS 6 to the budget as my QLS 9 is full.

Glory, lol...I agree with you. I think it is because the summer season everyone is outdoors enjoying weather, camping etc.... The fall will pick up for sure. If I win the lottery some day, I will have lots to spend and I will fill this thread with lots of fortune. My last piece to my system is a Hologram D for my Oppo BDP SE. Then onto speaker upgrades...

Fplanner2010, I did a switch to HDMI from Onkyo to analogue Oppo SE on-the-fly and the Oppo sounds better. For movies and easily the better for 2 channel. I think it openned a can of worms. Lol.

Well I have inserted another 2 sets of miggs in my system. One set under my Powercell 10SE and another under my subwoofer, actually between the sub and my hifi pyon mythology platform. I inserted the miggs in pin-point imaging( 2 in front up-side-down and one right-side-up in middle in back) . I will post results in few days.

KeithR. I let the miggs settle about a week longer for 100% break-in because the amount of bass information is minimal compared to a component running for longer time periods......

Update:Miggs under subwoofer.(Pin-point soundstage config)
After a few weeks of the miggs under my SVS PB13 Ultra subwoofer & between my HifiPyon subwoofer platform the results were pretty noticeable. More detail, isolated and defined bass, acurately soundstages bass with refinment. If you walked in the room with your eyes covered and sat in an ideal seat, you couldn't even tell where the sub is sittuated...AWESOME.......Thumbs up miggs.....
I actually might put the miggs in the Ambient Soundstage Configuration and post my results...

Keithr, When I had to move my 155lb subwoofer & 45lb platform to put the miggs under/between them I had to disconnect the active power cord/interconnect. Therefore the cord would need a re-charge to settle from being moved, thus the "a few weeks"....

Flashunlock, I have mine in pipoint position inbetween my SVS PB13 Ultra and my Hifi Pyon sub platform and I noticed great differences. The throw of bass is greater and sub is even less detected. The pitch is more controlled, well defined....I might try a set under my platform to the floor and take my custom feet off.
I wonder if Ted D. has had feedback on these under sub at all and with positive results maybe make a larger scale to accomodate a subwoofer or large speaker. Hint Hint....

Ozzy, I did find the T3 better than the T2. I had auditioned a Hologram A way back but was brand new and probably hadn't settled enough. I found it to be a little smothered sounding. I might try a Precision AC. I have an A on my amp and D on my BDP(Oppo SE)

Airportsyndrome, I actually have them in pin-point configuration( 2 back one front) and noticed a difference in imaging mostly. It tightened the bass up and seems more controlled. The thing is I have a Hifi Pyon 1.5 inch thick Parkawood platform with resonance controlling feet with bearings and I put the migs under sub and top platform. I might try another set under platform and top carpet and take off feet.
Also I might switch to 2 migs in front / one back as the 13.5 driver and magnet weigh more than rear. My subs weight is 155lbs. Try lifting that yourself and place migs under(lol). Good thing I workout..
I think Ted D. mentioned larger miggs coming out ..

I have miggs between my SVS PB13 Ultra subwoofer and my 1.5 inch thick custom Parkawood Platform with coned bearing feet and you talk about bass, my processor sub volume is -12 out of (-15|15). the volume on the sub is at it's detent half.
Miggs also under Powercell 10SE & Oppo SE. The amount of bass is very balanced as my 5 channel Paradigm Signature S1's have only 5.25 midrange drivers.

I have had a brand new Hologram D SE for a few days now and have only tried the grey bullets so far. Out of the box I likey....Definitely more dynamics, resolution and impact. Still some break-in time so lots of testing to do. Waiting for my new T3SE and Hologram A SE to follow. Pretty good so far compared to the old version. My thumbs are up.

Thx TBG. I am awaiting two Teslaplex SE's from Scott from Scott Walker Audio. Also just received from Scott a Hologram A(SE) and a Hologram D(SE) and waiting for them two beak in. Scott's a great guy to deal with and very quick,helpful,discrete and educated in the field. I am just amazed at this SE line of cords. Anyone have any feedback on the SE line compared to the old Tesla line?

I need some ideas on my QLS6 & 9. They are almost full with Galileo mpc's and are raised off the carpet by Hifi Pyon cable elevators but the problen I have is the QLS pivots down towards the side the MPC's are plugged into and is not stable. Does anyone mount it on a wall or anything else? I would think on a wall the subwoofer would vibrate the QLS and interfere with the whole idea of vibration control. Any Ideas?? |
Reading the forum and I agree with Sabai. I have a full home theater setup of S.R Tesla SE power cords , interconnects , speaker wire and two QLS's. All have a single/dual Galileo MPC. My wires are neatly arrayed in a sequence of direction with wife friendly appeal. I have all my components on floating shelves awaiting some Tranquility Bases for each component with miggs between each.
The only thing I didn't like about upgrading from previous series is that the regular mpc's are obsolete with the Galileo MPC. I couldn't get any dollar or trade value for my old MPC. But someone new can buy one for $125 from a dealer. Whys that? $400 compared to $125 is huge difference. But for the difference in quality I guess it works out.
