"When Gene contacted SR’s dealers and distributors directly that is when it became actionable." Action being "Oh, we think these are good products. Let us demo them for you and explain all the differences and benefits. We will be happy to answer any question you may have." Isn't that what dealers and distributors are for? |
"I don’t know what the Atmosphere does but it does something." They look like speakers to me. They probably are not, but then when I think again... |

The problem with Kinder Eggs is that current USA variation is missing the point. It does not have yellow in the middle. No yolk, no egg. I am heartbroken. Also, for whatever reason, toys in USA version are never as sophisticated as some of the European ones. "...useless pebbles wrapped around a child’s neck." Kinder Eggs are potential risk with probably very low complication rate. The real deal is in those little and very strong magnets, some shaped like small little balls, and even more so in button cell batteries. Kids love them. For certain crowd, add toothbrushes too. |
"One would think, if what they produced was snake oil, the company would have not lasted this long..." Coca-Cola has been going on stronger and longer. They do not sell snake oil, but it is also not that they sell much more than advertisements. |
Huh, no wonder that this Ted annoys people so much. Not that the other one is especially likeable. This Ted sneaked in the comments of some other people that Gene clearly did not agree with. Built the case without there being a case.
Once he started with the ending and "employees, America" and what not, he held on to the straw of "I am a good guy". Which he may be, for all I know. Still, it must take a special person to idolize him. Slick salesman. Bernie.
The other guy, as slick with different image. |
Some people are careful with the money they earn simply because they do not become bold parasiting on other people’s money.
Some do not mind paying extra for repackaged fuses. Who really cares? Nobody will take fuses with them after all is said and done. No matter how much or how little they paid for them. |
Bernie Madoff died.
So the next thing after this silly argument here will not be him calling out street hustlers. |
"Great, now even more people know about this Gene guy. Instead of 15 minutes he now gets a half hour." The best post of the thread. Same goes for the other guy except that he seems to have already been popular. Really, guys, how do you get so passionate about two guys with no merit? |
oregonpapa, "Your colleague should study the difference between perfect and imperfect markets. :-)" I will let him know, but I suspect what he will ask. What is the benefit of using a real estate agent in the times of the Internet? Things get checked very quickly and facts are readily available. Even car dealers have been seriously affected. Well, most anything has been affected and, in many cases, made simpler and more straightforward. I will ask him tomorrow, maybe I guessed his response wrong. |
I have a feeling that it is already decided in the most of this group that whatever that Ted does will be correct and that the other guy will be humiliated.
According to one poster earlier, what Ted hears is not exactly what multiple other people hear.
Instead of offering whatever to the other guy, why not offer it to some impartial observers with no vested interest? |
Regarding real estate selling, a colleague of mine asked me what is the point of real estate agents in the age of the Internet? |
"Not a fan of d-bags.
Not a fan of bloviated word salad reviewers.
Not a fan of bull-sh!t.
A whole lot of both in this thread." You mean "A whole lot of all three in this thread"? |
"Who’s the real snake-oil salesman here..." Both A and B.are correct answers. |
You dialed the wrong number.
I have no monkey.

"eg, to go into the room at Axpona and hear nothing is not all that surprising." To go into the room at Axpona and hear what others do not is not all that surprising, either. Once you are trying to sell very expensive things to them. It is a skill, too. |
What is next? Bernie Madoff calling out street hustlers? |
