It's still a golf ball but it's cut in 1/2 and attached to a little metal cover. Makes it look less like a science project, but it's really the same concept. I have the Amadeus Mk2 and love it. I haven't heard the original version in order to be able to compare the old tonearm to the symmetrex, but I'm really enjoying my table. Could be the best Christmas present ever.
