Yes I have an SC-1 in my main system, which I bought when they first came on the market several years ago. In January of this year I bought an SC-1 Plus for a new secondary system which is located at our second home. For clicks and pops they work about the same, and frankly are the bees knees for some of the old jazz records that I buy because the devil makes me do it. Anyway, here is the deal, they remove most of the noise without having a noticeably deleterious effect on the music. In fact the Sugar Cube is so close to seamless that many people report leaving the unit in the circuit all the time. I am not one of those people because yes, I can hear a slight change, I'll call if a minor attenuation or dulling of detail, which is only noticeable if I listen critically. For most of the old jazz records that I find the Sugar Cube useful for. the reduction in noise is far more important than the very minor loss of inner detail as to fade into insignificance for me. Properly installed it is easy to instantaneously compare the cleaned up sound with the original so the listener can make their own evaluation in real time, every time. I feel confident that anyone who places the music ahead of the equipment would choose to use the Sugar Cube as necessary.
