Surround Sound Speaker Recommendations

Hi!

I have a request please. I have moved into my first home and I have a living room with vaulted ceilings. A picture of the room is here:

I would like to install/mount small surround sound speakers in the ceiling or on the wood beams. Currently I have a Harman Kardan AVR 510 reciever and have all Klipsch speakers. I plan on moving this system to the basement and upgrading to a 7.1 system upstairs in the vaulted cieling room. I also have many DVD-audio disc that I enjoy immensley. I would like suggestions on what kind of speakers I should buy. I am willing to pay around 6-700 bucks, plus brackets and wiring. Are there any surround sound satellite speaker systems that have a frequency range that can truly accomodate the range of DVD-Audio?

IMHO, No.

If I were you, I would focus the new living room space on HT only. And make the basement more for music. I can't imagine the nightmare of trying to get speaker placement up on/in the ceiling correct.
