Streaming audio & video question?

I have a Roku media player for my system, but it only has an HDMI output. I am using my Sony TV's HDMI inputs and optical digital output. My old av/receiver doesn't have HDMI, but does have an optical input. The problem is to listen to Pandora I have to have the TV on, and the signal has to pass through the TV. Watching Netflix the signal has to pass through the TV also. Is there a media player that allows a video signal to be sent with the HDMI output and a digital or analog signal to be sent separately (RCA), but at the same time? I would like to take the TV out of the audio loop.
