Stillpoints and reference-level speakers

Seems logical to assume that the makers of megabuck speakers would use superior footers in their designs. Any experience out there with Stillpoints isolation devices to support the reference-level offerings from Magico, TAD, Rockport, Tidal, and others?

Thankyou charles1dad, your response was really good about the star sound apprentice, what model do you have?, what model is your recommendation?
Thankyou everyone, thankyou for your hospitality as well, what do you use under the 103's?, plywood, footer disc?, why does star sound have the same size measurements for all the stands?, do you believe a 103 can support a 180 pound amp?, and still sound the way it was designed to?, or do you believe the 103 is best suited for speakers for best sound improvement?
what does the star sound apprentice do for the sound stage?, I under stand what it does for sharpness, does the sound become up front and personal?
Thankyou TBG, The vocals are suppose to be where you said, however, I like my music layered, not all of it hitting me at one time, most of the music should be behind the vocals, and then, depending how the micing of the recording is, every part of the sound should have it's own place within the soundstage, Have you had any exsperience with a product of any kind presenting a forward sound stage?, if so, you know exactly what I am talking about, It does not sound natural, I looked on the star sound Apprentice web site, do you have a 103?, Is the price given for two or each, this product actually appears to be price real world instead of the fanatical pricing of most of what's in our hobby!, I have interest of the apprentice because of pricing and all that all of you said here, charles1dad said he would put the star sound product up there with his best equipment, that was impressive for him to say that,I also wanted to know if the star sound gives a slightly musical warm sound or a cold dry sound?, cheers.

That's good TBG, any time we can play loud and enjoy the tunes is great, makes me feel young again when I crank the volume, and It sounds very real, then I get to see the visual show of dishes rattling and walls vibrating, Oh well, Kid at heart!
agear, can you explain why?, reffering to you post about the ss taking a few days to sound better?, I do not understand that, they are made of material, not electrical componets like caps and tubes.
Thankyou TBG and Tom of star sound technologies,I understand and Believe what is said here now on the settle in period.
Your feedback was spot on with questions I do not need to ask now, you were imformative and covered the sound of these stands quite well, however, what is the presatation like?, Is it roll A, D, G, J????, where the presatation placement is of importance to me, thankyou Grannyring.
Mark_nz, very interesting, what a great read!, thankyou for your paticapation here.
I feel like I need to tell you gentleman here, A long time ago, To me, The most profound resonance control went out of bussiness from the lack of keeping up with demand of sales, so bruce badlack of polycrystal closed down!, I lucked up, found some footers for speakers, I owned thousands of dollars of this stuff back in the day of the late 90s, I will never use my still points again, as of the good ole days, Polycrystal is the shxxx!, Rare to find any, as a matter of fact, Bruce used my invention, the disablocks, for top tunning of componets, they sold quite well, so if anybody has polycrystal products, I will give you double than what you paid new for them!
@ TBG, awsome!, Are your polycrystal footers for componets?, I have the speaker spikes, I will no longer use the stillpoints ultra ss anymore!, TBG, if you have the big componet footers you would make my year!, I will pay shipping, I pay you for the poly componet footers as well too if you like, man, thankyou Norm.
TBG, I still plan to take your advise on the 103 stands for the speakers when I get the money together, I will give the star sound a whirl, I do trust your ears, norm, I have been thru alot, I just got my system back on line after a year and a couple weeks off line, you will not believe the hell I have been thru, it's like a audio horror story!, lots of money, heart ache, etc....Thankyou Norm.
Hi charles1dad, Thanks, I have taken notice of the point you have made about the still points versus star sound products, clearing away the inadequete senceless post reminds me of putting Bo on the star sound apprentice and reinstateing the thread back to normal informative post.
charles1dad, did you get a laugh out of my last post to you?, I was hopeing to lighten up the thread from the invasion of chiberish ,mmm, I wonder if the apprentice XL stands will be better than the 103 for sound quality, cheers.
why not attempt to use the ultra 5s on the star sound apprentice and listen for the out come?
that is a suprise that they did not work together, it was worth a shot in the dark anyway, thanks TBG.
Hi Bo, Are you doing good these days?, I was sad to see on the news about the air plane deal, hope you had no suffering from that!, I admitt, you get under alot of members skin, including mine at times, But in the end, I like you very much, keep the debates coming, gives us something to do, thankyou Bo, cheers to you.
will painting the star sound audio points change the sound?, maybe the designer can answer?, personally, I do not care what color they are.
Tom of star sound, Hi, I do not believe that craig labortory's contact, spade, bannana, etc.. cleaner and conditioner would EVER degrade the performance of the audio points, it's made for such applications, I have seen this applied to some of the best audio metals in the world on world class systems to a astonishing effect to improve sound.
