step up transformers

I am buying a Sphinx Project 16 amp from Austria and want to use it the USA. Prior to rewiring the amp I wanted to get a step-up transformer to use the amp. It is a high current design so the transformer needs to handle plenty of current. Does anyone have any recommendations on the tranformers that won't adversely impact the sound.
