Latest Star Trek movie: Capt. Kirk is frolicking with a few lady alien types (with tails no less) in his earthly abode. The camera pans over to an audiophile grade turntable spinning a disc of vinyl at 33.3 RPM; its MC cartridge capturing every nuisance and detail possibly available. Next the camera pans over to a tube pre amp and tube amp effortlessly performing its duties. Even 200+ additional years of human evolution and engineering prowess have not achieved nor surpassed the pure elegance and splendor of analog!! (I'm probably the only one in the theater that day who caught onto what the director wanted to portray.)
