I’ve stacked four…. Four is the magic number because it splits the electricity into a quad balanced system and it will match the new DAC‘s that are in the new Macintosh equipment.
Stacking mains conditioners
I have a couple of pro audio Furman’s lying around that I used for my computers & peripherals in my home office. A few weeks ago I thought I’d see how well they work on my audio. I used 3 units, and plugged the first into the mains outlet, the second into the first unit and plugged the third unit into the second. I plugged my pre and power amps into the third.
I found that this arrangement gave significantly better results than a using only a single unit. Has anybody else tried this? Did you have any negative results?
So far I have not noticed anything negative. When stacking three Furmans I seem to get a lot more low level detail, as well as firmer bass and a slightly extended top over using a single unit.
The units I used were two PL-8C’s and one PL-8 Pro C.
Anybody with similar experiences?
