SS amp for MBL 116F?

I'm considering buying a set of MBL 116F speakers. Would like to hear what SS amp people think would pair well with them. Conventional wisdom seems to suggest that the best amp match with these speakers are the ones made by MBL themselves. Are there any alternatives that would go just as well with these speakers, or maybe even better? What about McIntosh MC452 or MC501?
