SPU TONEARM INFO

I have recently come into four really nice SPU Ortofon cartridges. My current cartridges are Soundsmith Hyperion and Suzuki topwing on a Triplanar Ulitimate 12. I am trying to determine potential tone arms for my new SPU cartridges. On the top of my list are:

Glanz MH-1200S

Ikeda Sound Labs IT-407SS (stainless steel)

I would be interested in any experiences or thoughts about this?

I have loved Ortofon SPU cartridges for a few years now, and I use them with a Pete Riggle Woody SPU tonearm. I like it because it sounds beautiful, and I think it sounds beautiful because of the choice of wood (Spanish Cedar, though he has an alternative as well, but I forget what it is), the type of bearing (a complex string bearing), the use of brass, and the fact that pretty much every parameter can be adjusted, most on the fly as you listen.

If you have the time to wait for Pete to build you an arm, you will be rewarded with an unusual thing that is visually beautiful, and far more importantly, musically accomplished. I couldn't be more pleased. You should check it out
