Spotify Connect suggestions

I'm looking for recommendations for running Spotify Connect out to my DAC preferrably via toslink. I dedicated my Mac mini to high res Audirvana duty so I'm looking for something dedicated for the wife and civilians to stream Spotify through my system. I've tried Amazon Fire TV which claims to offer Spotify Connect and toslink optical out but can't get that to work. Anyone know of any better devices to try? The simpler the better.
