Spike need on an amp rack?

So spikes good for speakers, turntables, and i guess cds.

but whats value of spikes on an amp rack?  I kinda like wheels on amp racks for obvious reasons. Discerning a sound change when using spikes on an amp rack seems tough to follow.  Likely i’m wrong, but why?
