Speed control

I use a Roksan Xerxes 20plus & was wondering what sonic benefits I could possibly gain from the $2000 Roksan RPM over my current XPS 7 ($650)... The XPS 7 seems to operate perfectly well.
Have any of you upgraded a speed control unit & experienced significant improvements?
