Special parameters for room construction w/M.L. ?

Are there any "special" or unique room construction techniques to consider, since I am using Martin Logan speakers?
I am building a dedicated room, from scratch, but do not have unlimited funds.
I am mainly concerned with any special rear-wall treatment (behind the speakers), and/or any other things to consider when using a dipole speaker and it's associated unique radiation pattern.
I will probably build the dimensions around the "1.618 ratio" and end up with a room 24' x 15' with a possible "stepped" ceiling starting at 9' in the center and tapering to 7.5' on the ends(?).
