Speakers to match subwoofers, or throw them out?
I'm just getting into a 2 channel setup. So I could use some advice from the pros here. I've decided that I like the bass extension the subs provide. I really like the idea of how the Vandersteen 2WQ subs (supposedly) seamlessly integrate into a system. So I was thinking about getting the Vandy 3As and two 2WQs. But if the mid and highs are the same as the 2Ces and the subs take over the low, Would I lose anything by getting the latter and saving a few bucks? Or should I take a look at monitor speakers, would monitors matched with 2WQs provide the same soundstage as a pair of full range speakers with subs? Or is there a set of full range speakers that honestly have the bass extension of good stereo subs?
