speakers that match well with denon

I have a denon receiver and am currently using JBL speakers with them but i'm not happy with its mid-range and clarity. Can anybody suggest speakers that would match well with Denon equipment?

BTW - my music preferences are: classical, jazz, pop and nothing heavy.

A friend of mine has a Denon, and I suggested he try Paradigm. The results were excellent !

Sorry I will slightly disagree with Darrylhifi. I would move cautiously with the Paradigms. I have the Studio 60s(which I love) and tried powering them with a 110W Yamaha receiver and had exactly the same problem you're describing with your mild mid-range. Paradigms like power. I have since switched to separates which opened up the sound tremendously. The Paradigm monitor series my be a better fit. Depending on the power your Denon has and how loud you like it, I would definitely look at speaker that are fairly efficient 91+dB.
Maybe Energy's Veritas V2.2 (with a dome midrange that will have better claity) but will need some power to sound good.
I used to run them with the AVR-4800 but are now bi-amped by two Denon's POA-5200 with are crossovered by a Mirage LFX-3 into two BPS-150i subs in stereo. Now I think they sound great. Still using the 4800 to power the rears (Energy Connoisseur C-6).
Hope this helps.

Actually what Denon reciever do you have. 5 years ago , before upgrading to seperates I had a 3200. My friend now has a 3203 or I think its a 3803, but its basically my reciever 5 years later. Amazing improvement. Efficieny is important, but I was impressed how well the Paradigm towers sounded on his Denon. I also used to have NHT super Ones. They also need alot of power.
Polk Rti's are at the right price-preferably with 2 midrange woofers like bookshelf 55 or floor 800.
You might want to try Monitor Audio's line, they have matched up well w/ the Denon.
I HAVE A DENON 1804 90X5 PUSHING TWO KLIPSCH CHORUS II'S TWO KLIPSCH EPIC'S SERIES II AN A SMALL KLIPSCH RC-3 CENTER I SUGGEST YOU TRY THE KLIPSCH LINE, THEY ARE REALLY NOT TO POWER HUNGRY BUT THEY SOUND GREAT, DON,T USE LESS THAN THE KLIPSCH HERESY THEY ARE GOOD, THE FORTEII CHORUSII, EPIC SERIES II AND UP, YOU WILL LIKE THE STRONG SOUND.
I have used the Polk Rt55, B&W 602 and Cdm 1nt with a Denon integrated amplifier(pma 2000r). I am not sure how the Cdms would work with a receiver, but these speakers make an excellent match with my Denon. I have had this combo for over a year and I still cant believe how good it sounds.
