Speakers for audiolab 9000P & Q

I've got the Audiolab 9000 setup.  I have Klipsch Heresy IVs and a Paradigm sub (to lazy to see what model at the moment).  The Heresys sound muted, not sure why.  Had them before the current set up, still sounded the same.  Moved them into different locations, as much as possible.  They sound good, just kind of muffled.  Obviously I'm no expert, just trying to see if they're even a good match for this set up, and if not, what might be.

@gano can't return them.  I've read plenty about the love affair between Klipsch and tube amps (all after I had purchased them). Back in the day, if someone had a pair of Klipsch, they had the best.  I've learned much since then, and even since I bought them.

@dekay not sure what those are.  I'm interested though.

I love Audiolab for the record. You could order speakers to try for 30 or 60 days if you are willing to replace them Do they sound better if you are sitting on the floor, below the tweeters?

@gano I haven't tried them sitting on the floor.  It feels weird to buy speakers or other equipment and send it back.  I have done that to get to the system I have.  I wish we had a good hifi shop in my town.  Anyway, what would you think I need to keep in mind as far as compatibility speaker wise for the Audiolab?  And thanks a ton for entertaining my questions.
