Speakers and Harmonix tuning feet

Has anybody had success with Harmonix Tuning feet BETWEEN STAND & CABINET?
I'm keen to try with my Audio Note ANE's, but don't want to lift the speaker too high. 
I was thinking of the TU 505ex as these looked to be more purpose made for speakers, but seems they're discontinued. Next best - height-wise - looks like the TU-600.
I don't want to use Spike Bases with carpeted floor - tried the Harmonix RF999-MT without much success - hence looking at between stand and cabinet.
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
