Speaker Wire question

I was given a free pair of Tara Lab speaker wires Model Prism Klara.
I tried these on my Klipsch Heresy 1 speakers and to my surprise, they sounded as good as my Audioquest Gibraltar speaker wires.
Even though the Tara Lab wires are entry level, they sound so good. Why is that?
Also these wires were made in China in 1998 and have been discontinued.
Any opinions ?

I bought the Q Audio TimeStream because: 1) it was really cheap ($25/50 ft) and 2) fancy twisted-braid multi-strand design (I liked the appearance!). Sounds excellent - I can't complain!
I have two pairs of "high-end" cables in use on my.DCM Time Windows and Speaker Lab 7's. Q Audio TimeStream. Made in Canada (late 80's). Bought 'em cheap used! Added my own connectors. Excellent sound - I can't complain! And I didn't waste hundreds (or thousands) on over-hyped wire touted by neurotic audiophiles!
All speaker wire of sufficient guage will sound IDENTICAL. Even lowly zip cord! I speak from long experience. Let the rock throwing begin!
